Art & Element is pleased to debut an online virtual gallery. Cherie Haney is now showing her art in this three-dimensional gallery space provided by Ann Arbor tech startup Saganworks. Walk around, view the artwork, see image galleries of installations, and find out more about her process.
VISIT ME IN SAGANWORKS
I am very excited to debut my online virtual gallery, thanks to Saganworks, a startup here in Ann Arbor, Michigan that is making some very cool software for organizing information in 3D.
When you click the link above, you will need to register with Saganworks if you haven’t done so already. This is so they can keep track of your settings and preferences. Once you sign up, you can even create your own gallery space, they call it a Sagan, to display your own art collection or to organize anything else you have. If you find any of this useful, let me know! This idea of Sagans is new to me and I am curious what you might find engaging about them!
This is a work in progress. One of the things I am working on is getting my art to look dimensional, like in real life. Right now the images you see are just flat against the wall, but we are working on creating 3d models of my art to look even more impressive. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!
When you first sign up, Saganworks will show you a video with details on how to move around my gallery. It might seem weird at first but I promise you’ll get used to it. If you’ve ever played video games, it will probably seem like second nature already.
Just in case, here is a quick video with the basics:
